A decade ago, Sandeep Anirudhan quit conventional life and plunged himself into volunteering and betterment of society and the planet. He trusted that the universe has his back.   Ever since,  his personal and public life are examples of 'minimalism', 'gift economy' and community engagement.  He has built several communities, which play catalysing roles in generating awareness and action, addressing issues as diverse as Sustainability, Regeneration, Citizen Engagement and Participation, Grass-root Democracy, Water Security, Urban Planning & Governance, Sustainable Mobility, Natural Farming, Conservation, Climate Action, Green Citizenship and Lake Citizenship, etc.,

The Urban citizenship initiatives he convenes are ‘‘Citizens’ Agenda for Bengaluru’, ‘Namma Whitefield’, ‘Bengaluru Mobility’, 'Swaraj for Cities', 'Whitefield Citizens Ward Committees', etc., He is also a trustee at Civic Bangalore.  His Planetary Citizenship initiatives are ‘Aikyam Community for Sustainable Living’, ‘Coalition for Water Security’, ‘Green Tweet Army’ and ‘Save Pattandur Agrahara Lake’. He is also a vocal proponent of the Natural Farming movement.

Sandeep doesn't have any savings, wealth or income; he lives a minimalist life, devoting his time entirely to social work and public interest issues. He lives as a gift to the community.  The incidental costs related to communication, travel, stationery, refreshments, some minor living expenses, etc., are met through the the occasional fundraiser.  A broad-based crowdfunding ensures that Sandeep is able to pursue an independent agenda, and doesn't have to go 'job-hunting', or compromise his stand on various issues; which is why it has been unwavering and bold.  You are his rock!    If you believe in his causes, you are welcome to support and contribute to his fundraiser.
